The EU-Project PACE (Partial Certification for Lower and Medium Level Vocational Training) is concerned with the development and implementation of innovative measures of partial qualification for people who are disadvantaged at the labour market. These are e.g. long-term unemployed, people with disabilities, migrants, job-returnees.

Starting with an in depth survey and field research of the structure of vocational education and certicfication practice in the participating countries Netherlands, Spain, United Kingdom, Romania, Slovenia and Germany, guidelines for the certification process and for partial certificates in the vocational sectors of buisiness administration (BA) and information and communication technology (ICT) will be developed. The national activities of FTB are supported by Akamedia as an educational institution in the field of new media.

Further project-information can be obtained here: http://www.pace.atriumbv.nl/tiki/tiki-index.php. An intermediate report will presumingly be available in October 2004.
